Starlink Satellite Internet – Spacex

THEY ARE NOW ACCEPTING REFUNDABLE DEPOSITS FOR THE SERVICE TO SHIP LATER THIS YEAR. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED GET ON THE LIST RIGHT NOW!!!

Starlink is owned by Spacex, which is an Elon Musk company in the business of launching satellites around earth, AND eventually going to Mars. You can’t say Elon does not shoot for the stars anymore!!! It should be noted that Spacex is NOT connected in any way with Elon Musk’s other big name company TESLA. Space exploration is the only thing Spacex does. Why get into the Internet business you ask??? Well, Starlink once it is fully operational, ‘around the world’ will bring in many Billions in cash flow to fund the space exploration business. Yes, he intends to offer it to everyone on earth, on all continents.

Currently they are running a ‘better than nothing’ Beta Test opportunity in areas above the 45th Parallel. That clearly includes US! Some folks have been accepted in the ‘bets’ already but have not at this writing received their equipment. When we have actual users in the area we will report back to you.

First PI install and here is the results, and they are STUNNING!!!

The deal is this:

Download Speeds of 100 Mbps (in the future he is saying ‘gigabit’) and Upload speeds of 20-40 Mbps.

Latency will be in the 30 ms range, and getting lower according to Elon Musk himself. This is because the satellites are in ‘low earth’ orbit and there will be 12000 of them. The satellites are small and are set at the end of their useful life to destruct without reaching the earth. Early versions had mirrors that interfered with earth based astronomy, but now they emit almost no light. Their goal is 20 ms latency and will allow gaming and any video downloading you can currently imagine.

$499 One time charge for the satellite. The satellite is an easy self setup AND it is heated so that you won’t have winter worries. It does not ‘have’ to be on the roof. You DO need a clear view of the Northern Sky.

$99 dollars a month, with unlimited data.
